Dear Ms. Rainbow:
In your letter dated March 16, 1990, resubmitted on April

identical in all respects to the fabric used for the cuffs on the
shorts. The shirt has short sleeves with turned-up cuffs; a full
frontal opening secured by four buttons; a notched collar; small
lapels; and a straight, bottom edge. The shorts have a fully
elasticized waistband with a tunnel drawstring, and turned-up cuffs.

Style number 5064, which you describe as a "pajama", is a woman's
two-piece ensemble consisting of a shirt and a pair of pull-on
trousers. Both components are cut and sewn from 100% cotton woven
fabric with a floral print; the fabric used for the outer surface of
the shirt's collar and sleeve cuffs is printed with a stripe and is
identical in all respects to the fabric used for the cuffs on the
trousers. The shirt has three-quarter- length sleeves with turned-up
-2-
cuffs; a full frontal opening secured by five buttons; a notched

international textile trade agreements, products of India are subject
to a visa requirement and quota restraints.
The designated textile and apparel category may be subdivided into
parts. If so, visa and quota requirements applicable to the subject
merchandise may be affected. Since part categories are the result of
international bilateral agreements which are subject to frequent
renegotiations and changes, to obtain the most current information
available, we suggest that you check, close to the time of shipment,
the Status Report On Current Import Quotas (Restraint Levels), an
internal issuance of the U.S. Customs Service, which is available for
inspection at your local Customs office.
This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section
177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
