RE: The tariff classification of Bumetanide (CAS-28395-03-1), in bulk form, from England

In your letter dated December 1, 1993, you requested a tariff classification ruling.
The product in question, Bumetanide, is a diuretic drug.
The applicable subheading for Bumetanide, in bulk form, will be 2935.00.5700, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for sulfonamides: other: drugs: other: other. The rate of duty will be 6.9 percent ad valorem.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
