RE: The tariff classification of flexible printed circuits from Thailand
Dear Ms. Jones:
In your letter dated June 25, 2007, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client, Fujikura America, Inc. of Santa Clara, California.
The merchandise is described in your letter as flexible printed circuits. They are bare printed circuits composed of polymide, copper, adhesive and polyester and are used in LCD modules and car navigation systems. The merchandise is connected to both LCD and the main rigid board.
The applicable subheading for the flexible printed circuits will be 8534.00.0080, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Printed circuits: Flexible type.” The rate of duty will be free.
Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/.
This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
