RE: The tariff classification of a knee wrap from China
Dear Mr. Wills:
In your letter dated February 5, 2009, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client, V2 Capitol, of Glenview, Ill.
The submitted sample is a knee wrap. It is made of two layers of knit man-made fiber elastomeric fabrics with a thin layer of open-cell foam between them, and measures approximately 35” x 11½”. The item is secured around the knee by two sets of hook-and-loop fasteners.
The applicable subheading for the knee wrap will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile items, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem.

The sample will be returned as requested.
This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
