RE: The tariff classification of glass smallwares from China
Dear Mr. Strong:
In your letter dated September 8, 2011, on behalf of your client Hobby Lobby Stores, you requested a tariff classification ruling. A representative sample of “Deco Glass Stones” was submitted with your ruling request. As per your request, the sample is being returned to you.
The submitted sample, referred to as “Deco Glass Stones” - item number 615658, consists of small, decorative glass stones of various shapes and colors packaged for retail sale in a clear plastic container with a metal pull tab lid. You indicate in your letter that “Deco Glass Stones” - item numbers 615617, 615633, 615682 and 615641 are the same product but represent different color choices.
In your letter, you state that the decorative glass stones will be used as a vase filler for floral arrangements.
The applicable subheading for the “Deco Glass Stones” will be 7018.10.5000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for glass beads, imitation pearls, imitation precious or semiprecious stones and similar glass smallwares: other. The rate of duty will be free.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
