Pub. L. 115–270, title II, § 2013(b), Oct. 23, 2018, 132 Stat. 3854, provided that:

“(1)

Protection from disclosure.—

Information submitted to the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency pursuant to section 1433 of the Safe Drinking Water Act [42 U.S.C. 300i–2], as in effect on the day before the date of enactment of America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 [Oct. 23, 2018], shall be protected from disclosure in accordance with the provisions of such section as in effect on such day.

“(2)

Disposal.—

The Administrator, in partnership with community water systems (as defined in section 1401 of the Safe Drinking Water Act [42 U.S.C. 300f]), shall develop a strategy to, in a timeframe determined appropriate by the Administrator, securely and permanently dispose of, or return to the applicable community water system, any information described in paragraph (1).”
