GAO study and report
(a)
Adjustment assistance programs
The Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct a study of the adjustment assistance programs established under parts 2, 3, and 4 of this subchapter and shall report the results of such study to the Congress no later than
January 31, 1980
. Such report shall include an evaluation of—
(1)
the effectiveness of such programs in aiding workers, firms, and communities to adjust to changed economic conditions resulting from changes in the patterns of international trade; and
(2)
the coordination of the administration of such programs and other Government programs which provide unemployment compensation and relief to depressed areas.
