1.The Department of
Commerce published
in
the
Federal
Register
January 28, 1992, notice of
the postponement of
the
due date
of
i
preliminary antidumping
duty determination
in
this investigation fr
February 5, 1992, until no
later than February 14, 1992.
Additionall
the Department is extending the
due date
for
the final countervaili
duty determination to correspond to
the date
of
the final antidumpi
duty determination with respect
to
the
same product and country.

both cases, unless extended, will
be April 2

2.The product covered
by
this investigation is extruded rubber thre
from Malaysia.
Extruded rubber thread
is defined
as vulcanized rubb
thread obtained by extrusion of
stable
or concentrated natural
rubb
latex of
any cross-sectional shape, measuring from 0.18 mm, i.e., 0.0
inch
or
140 gauge, to
1.42
mm,
i.e., 0.056
inch
or
18 gauge,
diameter.
Extruded
rubber
thread
is
currently
classified
und
subheading 4007.00.00 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
3.In accordance with section 705 of the Act and Article 5, Paragraph
of the Subsidies Code, the U.S. Customs Service should terminate the
suspension
of liquidation
in
the countervailing duty investigation
April 28, 1992, which is
120 days from the date
of publication of
t
preliminary determination.
No
cash
deposits
or
bonds
for potenti
countervailing duties will
be required for merchandise which enters
or
after April 28,
1992.
The suspension of liquidation will
not
resumed unless and until the Department publishes a countervailing dut
order.
Furthermore, Customs should
hold
any entries suspended betwe
December 30, 1991, and
April
27,
1992, until
the conclusion of
th
investigation.
4.For further reporting purposes, the countervailing duty case has be
assigned investigation number C-557-806
and
the antidumping duty
ca
has been assigned number A-557-805.
