THIS CLARIFIES CURRENT CASH DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS ON ENTRIES
OF MERCHANDISE COVERED BY THE COUNTERVAILING DUTY ORDER ON
CERTAIN TEXTILE MILL PRODUCTS FROM ARGENTINA (C-357-404-001).
2.
ON AUGUST 13, 1990, THE DEPARTMENT REVOKED THE COUNTERVAILING
DUTY ORDER ON CERTAIN TEXTILE MILL PRODUCTS FROM ARGENTINA.
THIS ORDER WAS REINSTATED EFFECTIVE 5/18/92 AS A RESULT OF A
DECISION BY THE COURT OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE (CIT):
SUSPENSION OF LIQUIDATION OF ENTRIES OF THE SUBJECT
MERCHANDISE WAS RESUMED AT ZERO PERCENT CASH DEPOSIT AS OF
THAT DATE. FAILURE OF THE PARTIES TO APPEAL THE CIT DECISION
FINALIZED THE DECISION BY THE CIT.
ACCORDINGLY, SUSPENSION
OF LIQUIDATION CONTINUED AND A CASH DEPOSIT IN THE AMOUNT OF
4.53 PERCENT AD VALOREM, THE LAST PUBLISHED DEPOSIT RATE, WAS
REQUIRED FOR EACH ENTRY OF THE SUBJECT MERCHANDISE FROM
ARGENTINA ENTERED, OR WITHDRAWN FROM WAREHOUSE, FOR
CONSUMPTION ON OR AFTER THE DATE OF OUR PUBLIC NOTIFICATION
OF THE FAILURE OF PARTIES TO APPEAL ON NOVEMBER 9, 1992.

THEREFORE, CUSTOMS SUSPENDED LIQUIDATION OF MERCHANDISE
SUBJECT TO THIS ORDER AS OF MAY 18, 1992, AS INSTRUCTED IN
E-MAIL NO. 2154111, DATED JUNE 2, 1992.
FURTHERMORE, AS
INSTRUCTED IN E-MAIL NO. 3342112, DATED DECEMBER 7, 1992,
BEGINNING ON NOVEMBER 9, 1992, CUSTOMS IS COLLECTING A CASH
DEPOSIT OF 4.53 PERCENT AD VALOREM ON RELEVANT ENTRIES.
