1. THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE PUBLISHED IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER,
ON AUGUST 12, 1994, A NOTICE OF TERMINATION OF ANTIDUMPING
DUTY ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW OF MECHANICAL TRANSFER PRESSES
FROM JAPAN.

2. FOR ALL SHIPMENTS OF MECHANICAL TRANSFER PRESSES FROM JAPAN
ENTERED, OR WITHDRAWN FROM WAREHOUSE, FOR CONSUMPTION DURING
THE PERIOD FEBRUARY 1, 1993, THROUGH JANUARY 31, 1994,
LIQUIDATE AT THE CASH DEPOSIT RATE PAID AT THE TIME OF ENTRY
(AS ENTERED).

3. EFFECTIVE UPON RECEIPT OF THIS MESSAGE, YOU SHOULD PROCEED
WITH LIQUIDATION.


4. YOU SHOULD REQUIRE OF THE IMPORTER PRIOR TO LIQUIDATION THE
REIMBURSEMENT STATEMENT DESCRIBED IN SECTION 353.26 OF THE
COMMERCE DEPARTMENT REGULATIONS. IMPORTERS WERE ADVISED OF
THIS REQUIREMENT WHEN THE PRELIMINARY AND/OR FINAL RESULTS OF
THE ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW WERE PUBLISHED IN THE FEDERAL
REGISTER. IF THE IMPORTER HAS BEEN REIMBURSED ANTIDUMPING
DUTIES OR FAILS TO PROVIDE THE REIMBURSEMENT STATEMENT PRIOR
TO LIQUIDATION, CUSTOMS SHOULD DOUBLE THE ANTIDUMPING DUTIES
DUE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ABOVE-REFERENCED REGULATION.


5. THE ASSESSMENT OF DUMPING DUTIES BY THE CUSTOMS SERVICE IS
SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 778 OF THE TARIFF ACT,
WHICH REQUIRES INTEREST TO BE PAID ON OVERPAYMENTS AND
UNDERPAYMENT OF AMOUNTS DEPOSITED AS ESTIMATED ANTIDUMPING
DUTIES. CALCULATE INTEREST FROM THE DATE OF PAYMENT OF
ESTIMATED ANTIDUMPING DUTIES THROUGHT THE DATE OF
LIQUIDATION, USING THE RATE IN EFFECT UNDER SECTION 6621 OF
THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE FOR SUCH PERIOD.
