ON SEPTEMBER 24, 1996, IN RESPONSE TO A REQUEST BY A U.S.
IMPORTER, R.R. DONNELLEY & SONS COMPANY, THE DEPARTMENT OF
COMMERCE ISSUED A FINAL SCOPE RULING THAT THE STITCHER TO BE
ENTERED INTO THE U.S. CUSTOMS TERRITORY BY THIS IMPORTER IS
OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF THE ANTIDUMPING DUTY ORDER ON LARGE
NEWSPAPER PRINTING PRESSES AND COMPONENTS THEREOF FROM GERMANY
BECAUSE THE MERCHANDISE DOES NOT MEET THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE
PRODUCTS COVERED BY THE SCOPE OF THIS ORDER.
THE STITCHER TO BE
ENTERED IS FOR USE WITH A MODEL V7-1140 FOLDER WHICH IS ATTACHED
TO A GRAVURE PRINTING PRESS AT THE IMPORTER'S RENO, NEVADA
FACILITY.
2.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, TERMINATE THE SUSPENSION OF
LIQUIDATION WITH RESPECT TO THE ABOVE-DESCRIBED ENTRY.
3.
FOR FURTHER REPORTING PURPOSES, THIS CASE BEEN ASSIGNED
INVESTIGATION NUMBER A-428-821.
4.
REFUND ANY CASH DEPOSITS WITH INTEREST AND RELEASE ANY BONDS
RELATING TO THE ABOVE-DESCRIBED ENTRY.
5.
