- Effective Date: Sep 10, 2018
1.
On 09/10/2018, in response to a request by the Shake and Shingle Alliance (SSA), Commerce issued a final scope determination that cedar shakes and shingles which SSA exports are within the scope of the countervailing duty order on certain softwood lumber products from Canada (C-122-858).
2.
Because the imported products are covered by the language of the scope of the order, interpreted in conjunction with prior scope rulings and the description of subject merchandise contained in the underlying investigation, Commerce found these products to be within the scope of the order.
3.
Continue to suspend liquidation of entries of certain softwood lumber products from Canada, including cedar shakes and shingles exported by SSA described above, subject to the countervailing duty order on certain softwood lumber products from Canada.
